How to Change the Wallpaper in Ubuntu 18.04

There are a couple of easy ways to change the background in Ubuntu. The below methods are for how to change the wallpaper in Ubuntu 18.04. The methods are described and shown above in the attached video and are written out below.

Option 1

First, click the top right system menu button. This will open a menu. After that, click the settings button in the lower-left of the menu. This opens a different menu with two pictures you can click. One says Background and the other says Lock Screen. In order to change the desktop background, you click the Background photo. If you want to change the lock screen photo, you click the photo labeled Lock Screen. Clicking either opens a menu where you can select a preloaded wallpaper, use a photo already present on the computer, or use a solid color instead. Click the desired background and then click select in the top right corner of the opened window. The wallpaper is now successfully changed to your desired image.

Option 2

First, right-click the home screen. This will open the right-click menu. Once open, click the option that says Change Background. This opens a different menu with two pictures you can click. One says Background and the other says Lock Screen. In order to change the desktop background, you click the Background photo. If you want to change the lock screen photo, you click the photo labeled Lock Screen. Clicking either opens a menu where you can select a preloaded wallpaper, use a photo already present on the computer, or use a solid color instead. Click the desired background and then click select in the top right corner of the opened window. The wallpaper is now successfully changed to your desired image.
