Overwatch Characters

Here is a simple Overwatch informational so you know what to expect of the game. This game is for both PC and console. Overwatch is a hero shooter. The game has characters with a variety of active and passive abilities. These abilities fall under certain categories. These categories are tank, damage, and support. The tank category characters are D.Va, Orisa, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Winston, Wrecking Ball, and Zarya. Tank characters are the frontline of your team. Many of the tanks have a shield of some sort. For example, Orisa has a throwable shield. Reinhardt has a shield attached to him. Winston has a throwable circular shield. Wrecking Ball has a personal shield. Zarya has a personal and ally shield. When the shield is damaged, Zarya’s attack damage increases. Finally, Roadhog can self heal and hook enemies.

The support category characters are Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte, Lucio, Mercy, Moira, and Zenyatta. These characters will heal any damage your team receives. The damage category characters are Ashe, Bastion, Doomfist, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, McCree, Mei, Pharah, Reaper, Soldier 76, Sombra, Symmetra, Torbjorn, Tracer, and Widowmaker. The damage characters, also known as Damage Per Second (DPS) characters. These characters have the primary goal of dealing damage to the enemy team.

Overwatch Gamemodes

In this game, there are many player versus player (PVP) modes. Quickplay will allow you to attack or defend a point or a payload. Competitive gameplay is similar in that it will allow you to attack or defend a point or payload. But, you will be ranked based on your performance. Ranks are as follows: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Master, Grandmaster, and Top 500. With missions to escort the payload in competitive, you will have the chance to attack and defend. If both your team and the enemy team tie with 3 points, then you are required to start again with the time remaining. This means that there are not only wins and losses possible in competitive but also draws if you tie.

Loot Boxes

This game also has loot boxes that contain prizes of white, blue, purple, and gold rarities. White is common, blue is uncommon, purple is rare, and gold is legendary. Lootboxes can also drop coins. These coins can be used to buy many things including skins, emotes, voice lines, victory poses, or highlight intros. Yet, event items can only be purchased with in-game coin currency during the respective event. There are skins that can be purchased with microtransactions. But these skins may also be purchased with Overwatch League (OWL) tokens. The tokens can be acquired by watching Overwatch League on Twitch when there is a live game. The prices vary. The team skins are 100 OWL tokens, while the limited-time event skins for certain characters are 200 OWL tokens.
